National Grange President Christine Hamp has released her "Speak Like a CHAMP" phrase for March.
We encourage all Grangers to use these phrases in publications, social media, or in everyday conversations as we all work to speak the same language and Grange together.

Outcome-Driven
Outcome-Driven means focusing on results rather than activity. It emphasizes clarity of purpose, intentional planning, and measurable impact. Being outcome-driven ensures that time, energy, and resources are directed toward efforts that meaningfully advance the mission. It requires defining success in advance, tracking progress, and adjusting course when needed. For the Grange, being outcome-driven means evaluating programs, meetings, and initiatives by the difference they make in our members' lives and in the strength of our communities - not by tradition or habit.

Our new study with Magnolia Market Access finds that large urban hospitals are securing rural-only designations through “dual classification,” allowing them to divert resources away from rural patients and communities. Policymakers must act to refocus these benefits on truly rural hospitals.

In recognition of the International Year of the Woman Farmer and Women's History Month, today we honor Mary Elizabeth Lease.

Rural progress has always required bold leadership and fearless advocacy.

Mary Elizabeth Lease became one of the most powerful voices for farmers in the late 19th century, demanding economic fairness and accountability for rural communities. Her speeches energized the Populist movement and elevated farmers’ concerns onto the national stage.

She showed that defending agriculture also means defending the people who depend on it.

March is Women’s History Month!

In honor of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, the National Grange is celebrating women who have shaped agriculture, strengthened rural communities, and expanded access to food, land, and opportunity.

From scientific breakthroughs to grassroots organizing, women have long been leaders in farming, food systems, and rural advocacy, often without the recognition they deserve. Throughout March, we’ll be highlighting women whose work transformed agriculture and continues to inspire today’s farmers, producers, and community leaders.

This series honors their legacy, as well as the women farmers and rural leaders carrying it forward.
